Rape Reported in Arbutus

A woman reported being raped on the 4000-block of Shelbourne Road in Arbutus on Dec. 11, according to county police.

Police said that the woman was prostituting in Baltimore City and was approached at around 9:15 p.m. by an unknown suspect who kidnapped her and took her to the location on Shelbourne where she was raped at knifepoint. The suspect then took her cell phone and a black purse containing about $50.

The suspect was described as a black male 30-40 years old, about 5'7" and about 230 pounds, wearing blue jeans and a white shirt.

Baltimore City police are investigating the incident, officials said.
