Second Woman Charged in Walmart "Bleach Brawl"

Hearing for Theresa Monique Jefferson is postponed as Ebony Michelle Odoms faces charges in Oct. 8 assault.

A second person has been charged in the in which a mixture of cleaning products were used in a fight that resulted in a haz-mat response and several bystanders sent to area hospitals oversome by fumes.

Police charged Ebony Michelle Odoms, 27, of the 100-block of Brookberry Drive in Reisterstown, with first-degree assault, second-degree assault, reckless endangerment and malicious destruction of property.

According to police, Theresa Monique Jefferson, followed Odoms and her boyfriend, Calvin Pannell, into the Walmart store in the 3600 block of Washington Boulevard.

Parnell is Jefferson's former boyfriend and the father of her child that is the subject of a support dispute, according to officials.

Jefferson and Odoms fought inside the store, and Jefferson poured bleach and Pine-Sol on Odoms, according to police.

She then left Walmart and turned herself in to police at the Precint 1/Wilkens station.

Jefferson, 33, of the 2900 block of Lakebrook Circle in Lansdowne, was charged with first-degree assault, second-degree assault, theft under $100 and malicious destruction of property.

WBAL reported that the Jan. 3 hearing was postponed because Jefferson was arrested on Dec. 28 for violating a protective order against Parnell. A date for the hearing has not yet been rescheduled.
