Video Store Avoids Tax Auction

The owners of avoided having the property auctioned to resolve nearly $60,000 in fines and penalties levied against the business for code violations by paying up in the final days before the auction.

According to the county tax office, 5648 Southwestern Boulevard LLC paid $59,851.44 on May 26 and was removed from the list of properties sold at auction on June 10.

The business is current with its taxes as of July 1. , the store is presently in compliance with the building codes and regulations.
