'I Still Don’t Think It Is Real': $2M Lottery Winner Shocked By Scratch-Off Win
A Baltimore County man can't believe he won a $2 million prize on a scratch-off ticket he purchased there while putting gas in his car.
BALTIMORE, MD — A Baltimore County man will never forget his visit to a Baltimore liquor store after he brought home a $2 million prize on a 200X The Cash scratch-off he purchased there while gassing up his car.
According to the Windsor Mill resident, he scratched his ticket inside the store and it showed a “200X” symbol, with a prize of $10,000 beneath the symbol. The rules of the game say the prize shown gets multiplied by 200. That escalated into a $2 million prize. He scanned the ticket and confirmed the prize.
“I didn’t think it was real and I still don’t think it is real,” he told Maryland Lottery officials, per a news release.

The financial analyst plans to use some of his prize to pay off bills, but is still undecided on how he plans to spend the rest of the cash.
The winning ticket was purchased in East Baltimore at Busy Bee Restaurant, Bar and Liquors at 4502 Erdman Ave. The Baltimore City retailer will receive a $2,000 bonus for selling the ticket.

This is the second top-prize winner on 200X The Cash. The first winning $2,000,000 ticket was purchased by a Frederick woman in January, but three top-prize tickets remain unclaimed. Five of the six second-tier $50,000 prizes are also unclaimed, along with prizes ranging from $30 to $10,000.
The 200X The Cash game, which went on sale in January along with a Multiplier family of games, has a second-chance promotion offering three more drawings with the chance to win $50,000 or $75,000 prizes.
