$500,000 Powerball Ticket Sold In MD, Jackpot Soars To $815 Million
The Powerball jackpot jumped to $815 million following Monday night's drawing after no ticket matched all six numbers drawn.
BALTIMORE, MD — No one won Tuesday's massive $750 million Powerball jackpot, but a ticket worth $500,000 was sold in Maryland, according to lottery officials.
The Powerball jackpot jumped to $815 million following Monday night's drawing after no ticket matched all six numbers drawn. The white balls were 16, 19, 34, 37 and 64, and the red Powerball was 22. The Power Play multiplier was 3.
A ticket sold at Bernie’s Liquors, located at 1414 Martin Blvd. in Baltimore, won a $500,000 prize by matching all five black balls in the Double Play drawing, Maryland Lottery officials said. Double Play drawings are streamed live on Powerball.com after the main drawing.

The most recent winner joins two other $500,000 Double Play winners from last week in Prince George’s County. Players who purchased tickets at Landover Hills Exxon at 6579 Annapolis Rd. in Landover and A-1 Laundromat at 6818 Riverdale Rd. in Riverdale also won $500,000 Double Play prizes in the Aug. 20 drawing.
The three retailers each will receive a $1,000 bonus from the Maryland Lottery for selling the winning tickets.

While Monday's jackpot evaded players, two tickets in Georgia and Texas won $1 million prizes after matching all five white balls. Also, 26 tickets won $50,000 prizes and five tickets won $150,000 prizes.
Wednesday’s Powerball drawing will be the 38th drawing since the jackpot was last won in California on May 31. If a player wins Wednesday’s jackpot, they will have the choice between an annuitized prize estimated at $815 million or a lump sum payment estimated at $367.9 million.
The jackpot is the seventh-largest in the drawing's history.
Powerball drawings are broadcast live every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 10:59 p.m. ET. Drawings are also livestreamed on Powerball.com. Powerball tickets are $2 per play and must be purchased by 9:59 p.m. ET on the night of the drawing.
The overall odds of winning a prize are 1 in 24.9. The odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 292.2 million.
