Baltimore Community Leader: 'This Man's Heart Is Ginormous'

BALTIMORE, MD — Without community leaders, Izzy's Angels in Baltimore wouldn’t hum along nearly as smoothly as it does. We’d miss their contributions in big and small ways.

Patch has partnered with T-Mobile to recognize these often unsung community leaders and celebrate their contributions.

How do you know this community leader?

Izzy White is Founder of Izzy's Angels; he feeds the homeless and provides daily necessities to the homeless. I stumbled upon one of his Facebook live (posts) and have supported him ever since. He has over 2 million followers on TikTok (you can find him under izzywhite_3) and goes live each night feeding those less fortunate living on the streets. Izzy is an inspiration to millions and a hero to those he serves!

What does this community leader do?

He founded Izzy's Angels, a 501c3 nonprofit in Baltimore, Maryland. He provides the daily necessities to those living on th, Rehab/detox, shelter and funds when available.

Why do you believe the community leader should be recognized or honored?

Izzy White has served the homeless living on the streets of Baltimore, Maryland for years, working 3 jobs to provide for their needs. He cares for those living in the woods, under bridges, abandoned houses and down alleys. The ones that never make it to shelters. He knows everyone by name, he protects them from harm, he saves them from overdosing, he supports them during their time in rehab, he has even paid out of pocket when they have died alone without family...he does it all! His heart is ENORMOUS...the world needs more Izzy Whites walking our earth

What's one thing you want everyone to know about the community hero?

One thing??? The size of this man's heart is GINORMOUS! He may look like "THE HULK" on the outside and his tattoo's might scare you away...but this man's heart is larger than life! At times he carries the weight of the world on his shoulders...worrying how the homeless will survive during winter months and bone chilling temperatures. His dream is to open Izzy's ARC one day. A safe place for the homeless to go to, clean up and rest. I hope to one day see his dream come true...he has dedicated his adult life to serving those in need.
