DTLR Gives Away 100 Children’s Bikes and Helmets to Park Heights Kids
Families gathered at The George "Spider" Anderson Music and Arts Festival to celebrate community and a surprise gift for 100 local kids

On Saturday, May 10, DTLR, lifestyle retailer with over 250 stores in 21 states, teamed with Under Armour to give away 100 free bikes and helmets to children at The George “Spider” Anderson Music and Arts Festival – the official Preakness kick-off event. To secure a children’s bike, attendees from the Park Heights Community scanned a QR code located at the Kids Zone to register. Bikes were given out on a first come, first served basis while supplies lasted.
The festival included horseback riding, local artists and bands, vendors, food trucks, kids tent, carnival games, and more. Hosted by April Watts, other featured guests include music by DJ Smally and DJ Tanz, with hip-hop legends Doug E. Fresh, MC Lyte, and Natalie Phillips.
“The Park Heights community is having a renaissance and we’re excited to partner with Under Armour to make this donation happen ahead of Baltimore’s biggest weekend – the Preakness,” said Tremayne Lipscomb Sr., DTLR’s Community Outreach Director. “This is the first time DTLR and Under Armour have teamed up to host a donation at the event, which brought incredible joy and energy to the children and their families – just ahead of the summer season.”
