Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, Jan. 16 Is A City Holiday
Trash, recycling will not be collected, citizen drop-off centers will be closed, and mechanical street sweeping will not take place.

From Baltimore Public Works: Baltimore City Department of Public Works (DPW) Director Rudolph S. Chow, P.E., reminds everyone that Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, Monday, January 16, 2017, is a City holiday. DPW offices and yards will be CLOSED.
- Trash, recycling and bulk collections are not scheduled for that day.
- Citizen drop-off centers WILL BE CLOSED (all yards, including Quarantine Road Landfill, the Northwest Transfer Station, and the Eastern, Western, and Northwest Collections Facilities).
- Mechanical street sweeping will NOT take place. Street sweeping parking restrictions will NOT be in effect.
- Parking meters WILL be in effect.
The Baltimore City Department of Public Works will be participating in The Martin Luther King Jr. Day Parade. This event takes place on Monday, January 16, 2017beginning at noon. For more information please go to http://promotionandarts.org/events-festivals/dr-martin-luther-king-jr-parade. Join us!
