MARYLAND — Those looking to celebrate Halloween with scares have no shortage of venues to find their screams this year.
Maryland is full of haunted houses and other spooky attractions, and we've compiled a list of attractions that range from creepy to downright terrifying.

This Baltimore haunted house is known nationally as one of the area's largest and best Halloween attractions. Bennett's Curse has been voted One of America's Scariest Halloween Attractions by the Travel Channel and was selected as a 2014 Must See Haunt by Haunted Attraction Magazine. Check website for hours.
Fright Fest is back for select days through Sept. 23 - Oct. 29 at Six Flags America. Don't miss the multiple haunted houses and scare zones throughout the park. Check out their website for more information.
Field of Screams has been awarded the largest and most popular scream park in Maryland, D.C., Virginia and Delaware. While you're waiting for the four terrifying haunted attractions, you can sit at a bonfire and enjoyed S'mores, funnel cake and more. Located in Olney.
For a family-friendly event, head out to the Lineboro Volunteer Fire Department in Manchester for Bedlam in the Boro. Little ones will love the hayride, food, games and more.
This haunted house is built inside of an abandoned movie theater in Laurel. Thrill-seekers can check out the haunted house and different escape rooms—including Escape the Movies, Horror Stories, The Rising Dead and Seven Deadly Sins.
6. Haunted Dungeons at Fort Howard Park
This haunted house has been running for over 30 years in Fort Howard. You can walk through the woods of Fort Howard county park, check out the fort dungeons, learn about the historic battle of 1812 and more.
7. CarnEVIL
Head out to Merriweather Park at Symphony Woods in Columbia for a night of escaped circus animals, clowns and more. Local bands and DJs will play spooky tunes while ghouls and goblins enjoy cocktails, food, games and more.
This Baltimore haunted house is in a four-story building that once housed a department store. Except "mangled factory workers, deranged serial killers, unlicensed physicians, vengeful sailors" and more.
This haunted house is in it's 11th year in Hartford County and features a hayride, hotel, circus and maze. Blackout Weekend is from Nov. 3-4, where all the attractions will be in the pitch dark.
10. Havre de Haunts
Want to go on a haunted ghost tour? Phantom Footsteps of Lafayette Tour in Havre de Grace features ghost stories and haunted history tours. You'l go through the main parts of historic downtown Havre de Grace and some outside locations, including Lafayette Square, La Cle D'or B&B, Rodger's House, The State Theatre and the American Legion.
