Maryland State Fair 2022 Music Headliners Include Nelly, Styx

BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — It's going to get "Hot in Herre" when Nelly performs during the 141st Maryland State Fair in September.

The Maryland State Fair announced Thursday that the St. Louis-based rapper is scheduled to perform this year along with country-pop singer Niko Moon; iconic rock band Styx; and "American Idol" alumni Lauren Alaina.

Each musical act is scheduled to perform at the Maryland State Fair on these days:

• Nelly - Sept. 9
• Niko Moon - Sept. 10
• Lauren Alaina - Sept. 10
• Styx - Sept. 11

This year, fair guests will have more time to enjoy all the fun rides, entertaining shows and good food.

In April, Maryland State Fair organizers announced they were extending their 2022 fair dates to over three long weekends.

The fair will be open this year on the following dates:

• Thursday, Aug. 25 - Sunday, Aug. 28
• Thursday, Sept. 1 - Monday, Sept. 5
• Thursday, Sept. 8 - Sunday, Sept. 11

Last year, the fair ran from Thursday, Aug. 26, through Monday, Sept. 6, which was Labor Day. So instead of two weekends to enjoy the fair, guests will also get an extra weekend to do so.

The Maryland State Fair is at 2200 York Road in Timonium.
