Pedestrian Struck, Killed In Nighttime Crash In Baltimore County
Baltimore County police said the pedestrian was transported to a nearby hospital and pronounced dead. The case remains under investigation.
BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — One person is dead after being hit by a car in Baltimore County.
The crash happened around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday along Belair Road near Taylor Avenue., according to the Baltimore County Police Department.
At the time of the crash, police said the driver of a 2013 Lexus IS 250 was traveling northbound on Belair Road. The pedestrian, 34-year-old Byron Blowe, stepped into the northbound travel lane of Belair Road, from a sidewalk near Taylor Avenue, when he was struck by the car.

Police said Blowe was transported to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead.
"It does not appear that Mr. Blowe was in the crosswalk at the time of the crash," police said in a news release. "The driver remained at the scene."

The crash remains under investigation by the Baltimore County Police Crash Team.
