Maryland State Police investigators said they are trying to determine the motive between the two killings.

BALTIMORE, MD — Homicide investigators with Maryland State Police confirm they've positively identified the body found Tuesday on I-95 as the mother of a toddler discovered in a fatal fire in Baltimore.

The deceased is identified as Danielle Shanae Parnell, 30, of Baltimore, Maryland. Parnell's body was found Tuesday in Cecil County. Investigators said they are awaiting the results of an autopsy from the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.

Police said a preliminary investigation indicates Parnell is the mother of a three-year-old child who was the victim of a fatal fire that occurred Friday at a home on Vancouver Road in Baltimore.
