Second Teen Charged In Killing Of Doordash Driver: Baltimore PD

Doordash driver, Cheryl McCormack, 51, was shot and killed in January following a botched robbery, Baltimore police said.

BALTIMORE, MD — A second teen has been charged in connection with the fatal shooting of a Doordash driver, Baltimore police confirmed Wednesday.

Police said they arrested a 16 year old in Rosedale on March 8. The teen has been charged with the first-degree murder of 51-year-old Cheryl McCormack.

On Jan. 24, 2022, around 2:25 a.m., McCormack was shot and killed in the 3900 block of White Avenue following a botched robbery, according to police.

Detectives interviewed potential witnesses, reviewed several area cameras, and were ultimately able to identify the shooter and obtain an arrest warrant.

On Feb.23, 2022, at approximately 12:37 a.m., police said the first suspect, a 16-year-old, turned himself in at police headquarters where he was read his Miranda Rights and transported to Central Booking.

That teen is also facing murder charges.

Both teens remain in custody.

According to McCormack's obituary, she was a grandmother who left behind a husband and three children.
