BALTIMORE, MD —The aptly named grey thoroughbred Seize The Grey seized the win in Saturday's rainy running of 149th Preakness Stakes at Pimlico Race Course in Baltimore.

Seize The Grey dominated the pack for the entire race, even with extremely sloppy track conditions. Any hopes of a Triple Crown winner this year were quickly dashed as the grey thoroughbred outpaced Kentucky Derby winner, Mystik Dan. who came in second.

Seize The Grey's trainer D. Wayne Lukas has become the oldest trainer to win a Triple Crown race at age 88. Lukas now has seven Preakness wins under his belt. The seasoned trainer was joined in the winner circle by jockey Jaime Torres and just a few of the many owners of the horse.

Over 2,000 people from the MyRacehorse group all own a stake in the colt. The $2 million winning purse will be divided amongst the thousands of owners.

We'll have to wait and see if Seize the Grey and Mystik Dan will have a rematch in three weeks at the Belmont Stakes at Saratoga Race Course on June 8.
