Severe Thunderstorm Warning Issued For Parts Of Maryland: NWS
Residents can expect trees and large branches to fall that could injure people in homes and vehicles as well as damage homes.

MARYLAND — Severe thunderstorm warnings have also been issued near Allegany County and Garrett County, Maryland, and Mineral County, West Virginia, until 11 p.m. by the NWS of Baltimore and Washington, D.C.
At 10:29 p.m., a severe thunderstorm was located near Piedmont and Westernport, moving southeast at 30 mph with wind gusts of 70 mph.
Residents can expect trees and large branches to fall that could injure people in homes and vehicles as well as damage homes and vehicles. Localized power outages are possible. Unsecured light objects may become projectiles as well, warned the NWS.

Locations impacted include Keyser, Westernport, Bittinger, Lonaconing, Piedmont, Deer Park, Elk Garden, Kitzmiller, Barton, Franklin, Luke, Jennings, Deep Creek Lake State Park, Swallow Falls State Park, McHenry, Big Run State Park, McComas Beach, Merrill, New Germany and Dogwood Flats.
