Damaging Storms, Weekend Warmup In MD: Latest Forecast
Saturday will mark the warmest day of the year so far when the temperature climbs into the mid-80s in Maryland, according to forecasters.
MARYLAND — Summer-like temperatures will move into the Baltimore region this weekend, bringing multiple chances of showers before giving way to cooler conditions and a possibility of damaging storms on Monday.
According to the National Weather Service, Saturday will mark the warmest day of the year so far when the temperature climbs into the mid-80s. Warmer weather continues Sunday with a forecast high of 80 degrees.
Overall, it will be an ideal weekend to get outdoors and enjoy some sunshine, but don't forget to pack an umbrella — forecasters are also calling for multiple chances of showers.

According to the Washington Post's Capital Weather Gang, a few light showers or sprinkles are possible Friday afternoon into the evening hours. Showers are also possible Saturday night, Sunday afternoon and Sunday night.
Windy conditions are also expected Saturday into Sunday. On Saturday, winds could reach 13 mph, with gusts as high as 22 mph.

Following the weekend, all eyes are on Monday when strong storms are expected to develop over the region.
"Afternoon and evening storms Monday could be strong to severe," the Capital Weather Gang said. "Damaging winds are the main threat, followed by hail, as it appears now."
Temperatures will be noticeably cooler on Tuesday, with a high near 60 degrees. Showers could also return Wednesday and Thursday, according to forecasters.

Friday Night: A slight chance of showers before 9pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 60. Southwest wind 3 to 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
Saturday: Partly sunny, with a high near 84. Southwest wind 8 to 13 mph, with gusts as high as 22 mph.
Saturday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 64. Southwest wind around 6 mph.
Sunday: A slight chance of showers after 2pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 79. South wind 5 to 11 mph, with gusts as high as 18 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
Sunday Night: A chance of showers, mainly after 8pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 65. Chance of precipitation is 40%.
Monday: Showers and possibly a thunderstorm after 2pm. High near 78. Chance of precipitation is 80%.
Monday Night: Showers and possibly a thunderstorm before 8pm, then showers likely between 8pm and 2am. Low around 49. Chance of precipitation is 80%.
Tuesday: Sunny, with a high near 60.
