1 Person Killed In Semi Crash Along Northbound I-95

One person died after a semi crashed Tuesday morning along northbound I-95. A second semi crashed along Fallston Road an hour later.

HARFORD COUNTY, MD — One person was killed and another injured in two separate crashes in Harford County involving semis Tuesday, fire officials said.

Around 6:34 a.m. Tuesday, firefighters from multiple companies were called to the scene of a truck on fire that shut down all lanes of northbound I-95 past exit 80, Riverside Parkway, in Belcamp.

The county hazmat team and state environment department's emergency response team were called to check the truck for any hazards. Firefighters used foam to put out the flames as there were no fire hydrants on the highway, officials said. A water tanker was brought in from Aberdeen Proving Ground.

The road reopened shortly before 1:30 p.m., according to the Harford County Fire and EMS Department.

Around 7:30 a.m., Fallston Road was shut down through 11:17 a.m. for another semi crash. A hazmat team was called to the scene to clean up leaking diesel, officials said.
