Belle Aire Market Draws Around 2K Visitors To 1st Event Of 2025; Date For Next Market

BEL AIR, MD — The first Belle Aire Market of 2025 ended up being a huge success and organizers hope even more people will pop by the second market of the summer planned for June 8.

Organized by the Bel Air Downtown Alliance, the Belle Aire Market of 2025 was held May 11 at 121 S. Main St. in downtown Bel Air from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The open air artisan market was designed to resemble a Parisian bazaar featuring clothing, home décor, artwork, baked goods, bath and body products, pet supplies and more. Shoppers also can enjoy live music at each market with dining and shopping opportunities in the area.

There were 43 vendors at the first event offering a variety of products and services for everyone, according to Emma Knight with the Bel Air Downtown Alliance.

"The Belle Aire Market was created in 2016 to bring an elevated shopping experience to downtown Bel Air, as well as a way to encourage people to visit downtown's other shops, restaurants and businesses. The Belle Aire Market was also created as a fundraising event for us, the Bel Air Downtown Alliance, which is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Funds from both vendor fees, as well as sponsorships of the event, allow us to reinvest in Bel Air's community to create a vibrant downtown district and foster economic success with our small businesses," Knight told Patch.

Between 1,000 and 2,000 people typically stop by the market each year, Knight said.

"This past event had a great flow of traffic and many vendors said that they did especially well compared to other vendor events," she told Patch. "The Belle Aire Market provides a unique shopping experience by cultivating a hand-selected array of vendors."

The Belle Aire Market takes place on the second Sunday of each month May through October (with the exception of this October 2025, when the market will take place on the third Sunday due to a conflicting event the previous weekend) from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 121 S. Main St. in historic downtown Bel Air.
