6 Charged In Theft Of Nike Shoes, Clothes, Jewelry From Store
Six people face charges in the theft of Nike shoes, clothing and jewelry from the Kohls store in Forest Hill, police say.
FOREST HILL, MD — Five Harford County residents have been charged in a retail theft scheme involving Nike shoes at a Kohls, police report.
Harford County Sheriff's Deputy First Class Miller was called to the Kohls store on Osborne Parkway in Forest Hill and told by employees that on Oct. 30, two suspects loaded multiple pairs of Nike sneakers into a large suitcase. They then placed the suitcase near the front doors of the store and left. A third suspect then entered the store, took the suitcase and exited without paying for the multiple pairs of sneakers or the suitcase. More than $1,000 in merchandise was stolen, the sheriff's office reported.
The three suspects were later identified as Hayward T. Henderson Jr., 42, of Edgewood; Susan Frazier, 45, of Edgewood; and Eric C. Briggs Sr., 49, of Edgewood.

Then on Nov. 4, another theft was reported at the Kohls store. In this incident, Briggs Sr., along with an unknown woman, used the same method to steal. They loaded up a suitcase with multiple clothing items, jewelry and other merchandise. They then placed the suitcase near the front doors and another suspect later identified as Christopher C. Ewing, 34, of Aberdeen went into the store and took the suitcase and merchandise without paying for anything. The total amount of stolen goods was just over $2,000, the sheriff's office stated.
Later that week, Worley responded to the same retail store for another reported theft that happened Nov. 10. In this theft, four suspects worked together to steal more than $1,500 in merchandise, once again using a stolen suitcase to carry the merchandise, the sheriff's office stated. The suspects in this theft were identified as Henderson, Frazier and Briggs from the previous thefts. They were joined this time by Frazier’s husband, Phillip V. Frazier Sr., 45, of Edgewood and an unidentified woman.

A search warrant for the Frazier residence was served Dec. 4. While serving the search warrant, some of the stolen merchandise was recovered, along with an unserialized handgun that belonged to Phillip V. Frazier Jr., 23, of Edgewood, the sheriff's office reported.
The following suspects were charged in these incidents:
- Hayward T. Henderson Jr.: multiple theft charges, organized retail theft and theft scheme - summons issued
- Susan Frazier: multiple theft charges, organized retail theft and theft scheme - warrant issued and served, released on an unsecured $2,500 bond.
- Phillip Frazier Sr.: theft charges - summons issued
- Eric Briggs Sr.: multiple theft charges, organized retail theft and theft scheme - warrant issued
- Christopher Ewing: multiple theft charges - warrant issued
- Phillip V. Frazier Jr: Possession of unserialized handgun - summons issued
“Retail theft doesn’t only victimize the store, it victimizes our community. Retail theft is not tolerated in Harford County- as I’ve said many times. We work with our loss prevention partners at these retail stores, and they play a pivotal role in identifying and charging these thieves. When you steal in Harford County, you will be charged and our partners at the State’s Attorney’s Office will prosecute you," Harford County Sheriff Jeffrey Gahler stated.
