Kite Festival In Bel Air: 750 Free Kites 'Will Go Quickly'

BEL AIR, MD — The Bel Air Kite Festival is back, and it will bring hundreds of kites to the skies over Rockfield Park.

Supplies for the April 9 event will be free while they last.

"We have 750 free kites," said Michael Krantz, the town clerk and director of administration and human resources.

"They will go quickly," Krantz said at this week's Town Hall meeting in Bel Air, noting more than 800 people have already expressed interest in the Bel Air Kite Festival event posting on Facebook.

The Bel Air Kite Festival will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, April 9. If it rains, the festival will be on Sunday, April 10. The event is at Rockfield Park, 501 E. Churchville Rd., Bel Air.
