Rescuers removed 44 bully-type breed dogs from a Whiteford home; the were found living in "extremely" soiled conditions without fresh water.
WHITEFORD, MD — Forty-four bully-type breed dogs have been confiscated from a Whiteford property after they were found to be living in filth and were neglected, officials said.
A citizen reported inhumane conditions to the Harford County Sheriff's Office at the Whiteford property. Sheriff's deputies, along with animal control officers, executed a search warrant at the home, which is located in the 1400 block of Eagles Grove Court, on July 11.
Several violations were discovered, including a lack of access to potable water, improper shelter, poor air quality and insufficient space for the 44 dogs. Bedding in kennels was "extremely soiled" and there was insufficient ventilation and temperature controls where the animals were kept, officials noted.
