BEL AIR, MD — The owners of 510 Johnny’s were given permission to keep their liquor license following the closure of their dining room at the end of May.

Earlier this month, 510 Johnny's reported it was closing its doors May 29.

The plan is to close the dining room effective May 30, according to Judith Powell, special projects coordinator for the Harford County Liquor Control Board.

After that, the owners "would like to maintain their catering operations on-site through June 25, because they have events already planned," Powell told the liquor board at its May 25 meeting.

The restaurant did alert its followers that "we plan to reopen on a different site as soon as possible," in a Facebook message on May 17.

To that end, the owners asked the board to put their liquor license into escrow June 26, pending a possible change in location, Powell said.

Unanimously, the board voted to provide 510 Johnny's with the relief it was seeking.
