Ellicott City Man Dies In Car Crash In Aberdeen

A 70-year-old Ellicott City man died in a crash crash in Aberdeen this week while two others were injured, one critically.

ABERDEEN, MD — A 70-year-old Ellicott City man died in a car crash Monday night in Aberdeen.

Aberdeen police officers were called to the 200 block of South Philadelphia Blvd. Dec. 15 around 6:51 p.m. for a report of a collision between two cars. Kelvin Bennett, 70, was pronounced dead at the scene. He was a passenger in a Nissan Maxima driven by a 63-year-old man who was taken to UM Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Aberdeen for treatment, according to police.

Maryland State Police Medevac took the 23-year-old driver of the other vehicle involved in the crash to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center for treatment where he is listed in critical condition, police officers stated.
