Missing 7-Year-Old Boy Found Safe Hours After Amber Alert Issued: Sheriff
After an Amber Alert was issued for Khalil Rodney Ringgold, 7, he was found safe with a relative and was returned to his father.

ABERDEEN, MD — Missing 7-year-old Khalil Rodney Ringgold has been found safe and is being reunited with his father, according to the Harford County Sheriff's Office.
An Amber Alert was issued for Ringgold at 12:16 p.m. by Maryland State Police at the request of the sheriff's office. Authorities said late Monday afternoon that the child had been found unhurt with a family member.

The little boy was last seen around 8:35 a.m. Monday outside Churchville Elementary School getting into a vehicle driven by a man he likely knows, the sheriff's office said.
Robert Royster, public information officer for the Harford County Sheriff's Office, confirmed to Patch "the operator of the vehicle is believed to be known to the child."

The investigation is ongoing and will be reviewed with the Harford County state's attorney to determine if any charges are appropriate, the sheriff's office stated. An alert by the Harford County Sheriff's office on social media initially called the incident an abduction.
