Apply Now To Be In Bel Air's Annual Christmas Parade Or Sponsor Tree Lighting Celebration

BEL AIR, MD — It might be hot outside right now, but applications are being accepted now for the annual Christmas Parade and tree lighting celebration in Bel Air.

The 35th annual Bel Air Christmas Parade and Tree Lighting Celebration will be Dec. 7 at 3:30 p.m. Local high school bands, organizations with floats, performers, costumed characters and others are invited to help celebrate the holiday season in Bel Air by participating in the annual parade.

Everyone in the parade must be in costume or dressed in holiday or seasonal themed attire, including animals who can be accessorized to keep with the theme, organizers said. Floats also must be decorated in keeping with the theme.

"This free community event is a festive tradition for the whole family to enjoy," stated parade chairman Michael Blum.

Those interested in participating can apply online here. The deadline to apply is Nov. 24. Entries must be approved and submitting an application isn't a guarantee of participation, organizers noted.
