BEL AIR, MD — A shop featuring women's clothing and accessories has opened on Main Street in Bel Air.

Owner Amy Siegel opened Apricot Lane earlier this month in the Spenceola Main Street Center, across Lee Way from the Bel Air Reckord Armory.

"We are so excited to welcome them to Bel Air," said Angela Robertson, economic development coordinator for the Town of Bel Air. "It's a great new boutique."

Apricot Lane is a franchise with more than 80 locations nationwide. It started in California. There are two other stores in Maryland — one in Cockeysville and another in Columbia.

Each shop features selections handpicked by the local owner, and products come in limited quantities, "so you can be sure that you won't see every other woman in town wearing the same clothes as you," according to a statement from Apricot Lane.
