Bel Air Crime: Weekend DUI, Assault Charges

Aberdeen man charged with DUI in Bel Air

Steven James Jacko, 34, of the 600 block of Cornell St. in Aberdeen, was charged Feb. 5 with driving while under the influence of alcohol, driving while impaired by alcohol and making an unsafe lane change. The charges stem from a traffic stop in the area of Bond Street and Courtland Avenue in Bel Air, police said.

Abingdon man charged with assault

Alexander Blake Lample, 25, of the 2500 block of Laurel Valley Garth in Abingdon, was charged Feb. 2 with first- and second-degree assault, police said.

Bel Air man charged with assault

David Edward Akehurst, 21, of the 700 block of Prospect Mill Road in Bel Air, was charged Feb. 2 with second-degree assault in connection with a November 2011 incident, police said. Akehurst was also arrested on a bench warrant in a case in which he was charged with possession of marijuana.

Abingdon woman charged with assault

Daria L. Kamasinski, 37, of the 3600 block of Marpat Drive in Abingdon, was charged Feb. 2 with second-degree assault, police said.

Bel Air man charged with escape

Gregory John Gharakhanian, 19, of the 1700 block of Globe Court in Bel Air, was charged Feb. 3 with second-degree escape, police said. A charge of second-degree escape most often refers to violating a court order to report to a detention facility.

Abingdon man faces drug, traffic charges

Michael Patrick Lamb, 33, of the 3100 block of Cardinal Way in Abingdon, was charged Feb. 5 with possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving while impaired by alcohol, driving while under the influence of alcohol per se, driving while under the influence of alcohol and stopping a vehicle on a highway ramp. The charges stem from a traffic stop on I-95 near the exit to Maryland Route 924, police said.
