BEL AIR, MD — The town of Bel Air is looking for people who make a difference. It is rolling out a new program to identify the Citizen of the Year.

“I think we need to do this,” Commissioner Mary Chance said at a recent work session of the Bel Air Board of Town Commissioners.

The town recognizes architecture and businesses but does not have an award that specifically recognizes people, town officials said.

Nomination forms are available online for both Citizen of the Year and Business of the Year. The deadline for submission is Sept. 2.
