Bel Air Middle Teacher Named National Hall Of Famer
Rebecca Gault is the third teacher from Maryland to be inducted into the National Teachers Hall of Fame.
Rebecca Gault helped usher Bel Air Middle School's entire sixth grade class into the gym for an assembly Tuesday morning, unaware that the event was all about her.
Gault was named to the National Teachers Hall of Fame in a surprise announcement during the assembly.
The sixth grade language arts teacher at the school has been teaching for 22 years. She becomes the third teacher from the state of Maryland to be inducted into the hall of fame.

"If you take the Queen of England and make her American, that's Mrs. Gault. If you take Will Smith and Derek Jeter together, that's how good she is," one of Gault's students said in a short video displayed during the assembly.
Gault thanked her students and fellow teachers as well as school leadership for helping her get to this point.

"Having crossed this threshold for 20 of my 22 teaching years I just want to just acknowledge that schools are a really good place and public education is an amazing tradition of our country and this has been my saving grace and my saving place so thank God for Bel Air Middle School," Gault said.
Her children, Anna and Joshua Rozmiarek, along with her husband were there Tuesday to celebrate with her.
