Bel Air Policewoman Promoted To Officer First Class
The Bel Air Police Department joined the Bel Air Board of Town Commissioners Monday night in promoting an officer.

BEL AIR, MD — An officer in the Bel Air Police Department was officially promoted Monday night at Town Hall.
Taryn O'Grady was promoted to Officer First Class before the Bel Air Board of Town Commissioners.
Since joining the Bel Air Police Department in June 2020, O'Grady has written 327 traffic citations, made 30 criminal arrests and executed two search-and-seizure warrants, according to Bel Air Mayor Kevin Bianca. She lives in Forest Hill with three dogs, he said.

"Those are great stats," Bel Air Police Chief Charles Moore said at Town Hall. "She has embraced and advanced our policing efforts," and the chief said he could definitely see O'Grady moving into a leadership function.
O'Grady has "excellent policing skills," according to Moore, who told the officer: "The town is extremely fortunate to have you."

A ceremony followed the Bel Air Town Hall meeting in the Bel Air Reckord Armory to celebrate the promotion of O'Grady to Officer First Class.
