Bel Air's Hayden Cited As Star Student: Here’s Why

BEL AIR, MD — Star Students are found in classrooms, on concert and theater stages and at debate lecterns, and out in the community doing good things to make life better for all of us.

Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize Star Students, and we’re working to tell the stories of these outstanding kids to their neighbors.

Why do you believe the star local student should be recognized?

Hayden has been a straight A student since the last quarter of 7th grade even after changing school districts for high school. This includes more than one full year of virtual learning as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. He has consistently been commended for helping his teachers and classmates virtually as well as in the classroom. He participates in recreation outdoor soccer, indoor soccer and now holds a part-time job since a month or so before turning 15 in 2022, even working during the school year.

What's one thing you want everyone to know about the star local student?

While quiet and introverted, he still participates in class and is always respectful and helpful to teachers and classmates. As a goalie on the soccer team, he is always strategically vocal and supportive of his teammates.
