Bel Air's Rilee Cited As Star Student: Here’s Why

BEL AIR, MD — Star Students are found in classrooms, on concert and theater stages and at debate lecterns, and out in the community doing good things to make life better for all of us.

Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize Star Students, and we’re working to tell the stories of these outstanding kids to their neighbors.

Why do you believe the star local student should be recognized?

Rilee is one of a kind, she has that way about her that affects everyone around her. She is kind and compassionate and has a genuine care and concern for the world around her. She has received the character award at Southampton Middle School several times and leaves an impression on all of her teachers that makes her a name and face they will never forget. She is a straight A student, participates in various activities at her school, plays club lacrosse for a high level program in Towson and manages and balances it all flawlessly. She loves animals and children and will likely spend her life caring for one or both of them. Her smile will immediately put you at ease and turn your day around and the world is a better place because of her. She’s excited to go to CMWHS, take some new and challenging courses, get involved with the National Honors Society, Best Buddies and other extracurricular activities. She’s dedicated to being her best self as a vessel to make the world around her a better place for all of us. I admire her beyond words.

What's one thing you want everyone to know about the star local student?

Her kindness, generosity and selfless persona is authentic and rare and she is even shy about it in some ways when it should be celebrated.
