Fiery Belair Road Crash Sent 1 By Medevac To Hospital: Officials

Route 1 was closed in Harford County for hours Saturday night due to a two-vehicle crash that injured two people, officials said.

HARFORD COUNTY, MD — A two-vehicle crash closed Belair Road for several hours Saturday night, according to authorities. Two people were injured, officials said.

The crash occurred around 6:30 p.m. on Belair at Reckord roads, state transportation officials reported.

When crews arrived, fire officials said one vehicle was engulfed in flames, and one person was trapped.

At least one person was flown by medevac to the hospital, according to the Kingsville Volunteer Fire Company, which participated in the rescue.

The Fallston Volunteer and Ambulance Company reported two people were in critical condition.

By 10 p.m., the Maryland State Highway Administration said Belair Road/US 1 had reopened.
