C. Milton Wright Girls Lacrosse Defeats Hereford

The Mustangs used an early burst to get out to a six-goal halftime lead en route to a 14-11 win against a talented Hereford squad Monday night.

Here's a recap from C. Milton Wright Coach Brent Ritz:

"After a back in forth start to the game we went on a good run to create separation before the half. They exploded out of halftime and scored two quick shorthanded goals. We know we should have closed the game better today, but I credit Hereford for making some great adjustments to our game plan and fighting until the final whistle. We will need to quickly refocus for our third game without a practice (tomorrow v. Patterson Mill) and make improvements on the move. Katie Burgee played a fantastic game today on the offensive end and the defensive end of the field."
