MARYLAND — There are plenty of new places to grab a bite to eat across Maryland with several developments underway.
A baker who gained celebrity fame after appearing on "Cake Wars" has opened her first shop in Maryland. A restaurant has received the green light to carve out creative space inside an old train station, while a food hall will be established in Anne Arundel County.
A popular chicken chain has launched at another site in Prince George's County, while a Persian restaurant has set up shop at its second Howard County location. A karaoke bar and entertainment center that appeals to both families and adults has laid down roots at National Harbor.

Lib's Grill Constructing Restaurant In Old Sykesville Train Station

Construction on Lib's Grill at the former Sykesville railroad stop is expected to begin in early 2026. The renovation will begin with the deconstruction of the existing kitchen addition, the installation of safety upgrades and restoring the structure. Interior modifications will follow.
Wonder will debut in Beacon Square, a new development across from the Annapolis Town Center, in February. Wonder has food prepared on site for takeout and dine-in. The business also partners with nearby restaurants to offer their menus via the Wonder platform.
BORO Kabob opened its second location in Howard County the week before Thanksgiving, serving up Persian fare. The eatery's menu includes such items as kabobs, saffron basmati rice, shawarma, fries, stew, grilled veggies, mazeh, sandwiches, salads and soups.

The southern-based chicken chain Raising Cane's will open next week in College Park. Maryland's newest Cane's restaurant officially opens Dec. 9 at 7400 Baltimore Ave. near the University of Maryland campus.
'Cake Wars' Baker Opens New Shop In Bel Air
The highly anticipated Tiffanee & Co Bakery has opened in Bel Air. Co-owner and pastry chef at the bakery, Tiffanee Blackwell, appeared on Food Network's "Cake Wars" in 2015 after opening her bakery in 2011 out of her home while working as a phlebotomist.
Karaoke Bar, Entertainment Center Opens At National Harbor
Restaurateur Chris Zhu has opened his second Live-K location at National Harbor with 24 state-of-the-art private karaoke rooms. In addition to its late-night side of the business, Live-K also caters to families during the day with interactive entertainment and birthday party packages.
