January 14, 2026 - The "Charm'tastic Mile" of Baltimore (CTMB-1.3) www.thecharmtasticmile.com. The chic & famed 1.3 mile corridor located in the heart of Charm City (Est.1975) that connects Dwtn-West, the Inner Harbor & Harbor East (S. Greene & W. Pratt Street to S. President & Fleet Street) that is now listed on Google search as one of the Top 10-15 Most Famous Streets in America is reporting today is the 58th Anniversary (1-14-1968) of SUPER BOWL II.

The Green Bay Packers of the NFL faced the Oakland Raiders of the AFL in SUPER BOWL II played at the old Orange Bowl in Miami, FL. It was the second AFL - NFL World Championship Game. Green Bay defeated the LA Rams 28-7 in the Divisional Round.

The Packers moved on to the '67 NFL Championship Game on New Years Eve (12-31-967) vs the Dallas Cowboys. The game will forever be known as the "Ice Bowl".

The Iconic matchup was played in the frigid cold, with temperatures at -15 degrees F and a wind chill at -48 degrees F. Green Bay QB Bart Starr scored the game-winning TD from the 1-yard line and sealed the 21-17 win for the Packers. Green Bay had won SUPER BOWL I a year earlier when they crushed the KC Chiefs 35-10 at LA Memorial Coliseum. This would be last-game the legendary Vince Lombardi would coach for the Packers.

The SUPER BOWL Trophy is named in his honor. Lombardi was a 5-time NFL Championship and 2-time SUPER BOWL winner.

SUPER BOWL III the next-year (1-12-1969) would be played at the Orange Bowl, the NY Jets beat the heavily favored Baltimore Colts 16-7. The Jets victory helped to secure the AFL as a legitimate league to merge with the NFL. The first-ever AFC vs NFC SUPER BOWL was SB5 when the Baltimore Colts (AFC) defeated the Dallas Cowboys (NFC) 16-13.
