Clyde 'Mac' McWilliams, 76, Of Bel Air
The former chief liquor inspector for Harford County has died.
BEL AIR, MD — A Bel Air resident who was the retired chief liquor inspector for Harford County passed away.
Clyde "Mac" McWilliams died April 1 at Senator Bob Hooper House in Forest Hill, according to his obituary. He was 76.
McWilliams was a U.S. Army veteran and retired Baltimore City police officer who served the department for 26 years, according to his obituary, which said he also served as Harford County's chief liquor inspector.

Newly elected Liquor Control Board Chair Paul J. Majewski II closed Wednesday's liquor board meeting by saying: “I did want to publicly mention Mr. Mac, who was chief inspector for 15 years and passed away this week."
Commissioner James Welch called him a "good man" and said that when he was working in the town of Bel Air, McWilliams "did a great job and solved the problems that existed" at the time.

"My heart and prayers go out to his family," attorney Joseph Snee said during Wednesday morning's liquor board meeting in Bel Air.
McWilliams is survived by his wife, Gail McWilliams; children: Scott McWilliams and his wife Pamela, Michael McWilliams and his wife Lisa, Melanie McWilliams-Keith, Matthew McWilliams and his wife Heather; grandchildren: Sean and his wife Christina, Sarah and her husband Sean, Riley, Ethan, Alexia, Taylor, Grace, Faith and Ava; great grandchild Madeleine; siblings Ray, Joyce, Deniese, Betty and Gary; and nieces and nephews, his obituary says, noting he was preceded in death by his parents; his son Christopher McWilliams; and his sister Maryann.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, April 6, at McComas Funeral Home, 50 West Broadway, in Bel Air.
The funeral service will take place at McComas Funeral Home at 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 7.
