Coastal Flood Advisory In Effect Thursday
Officials warn that low-lying areas along the shoreline in southeast Harford County could experience flooding.
HARFORD COUNTY, MD — A coastal flood advisory took effect at 3 a.m. Thursday and will run until midnight Thursday.
According to the Harford County Department of Emergency Services, officials anticipate up to one foot of water above ground level in low-lying areas Thursday due to tidal flooding specifically along the shoreline in southeast Harford County.
The situation will be compounded around high tide, which is forecast for Thursday afternoon, with levels cresting around 3 feet.

Portions of the Havre de Grace Yacht Basin will flood if levels reach 4.5 feet, along with Hutchins Park.
Officials recommended that if travel is required in the area, drivers should be aware that some roads may be closed and they should not drive around barricades or through water.
