An Abingdon man was sentenced Friday in federal court in Baltimore to serve 10 years in prison and a subsequent eight years of supervised release for conspiracy to possess with the intent to distribute cocaine and crack cocaine in Harford County.
Victor Andre Thomas, 40, of Abingdon was previously found guilty of conspiring to distribute 28 grams or more of crack and less than 500 grams of powder cocaine, according to a release from the U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of Maryland.

Thomas negotiated the sale of both powder and crack cocaine and was seen by investigators conducting drug deals.
At trial, recordings of dozens of calls between Thomas and his co-conspirators were played.
During the calls Thomas used coded language to sell crack cocaine in amounts of between 3.5 grams to 28 grams. These calls outlined the sale of more than 112 grams of crack.
Police seized crack cocaine from Thomas' vehicle as well as drug packaging materials, paraphernalia, several thousand dollars in cash and small baggies of crack cocaine when they searched two residences.
"United States Attorney Rod J. Rosenstein commended the DEA, Maryland State Police, Harford County Sheriff’s Office, Aberdeen Police Department, and Harford County State’s Attorney’s Office for their work in this investigation and thanked Assistant United States Attorney Christopher J.
