PERRY HALL, MD — A day care is under construction near the Perry Hall Square shopping center, and the work is impacting traffic for those on Ebenezer Road.

Cones had been set out to restrict parking near Perry Hall Elementary School while the water line was installed for the day care center, according to Councilman David Marks.

"We have asked for the county to remove the cones that have been placed on Ebenezer Road," Marks said in a statement before 10 a.m. on Tuesday. "These should be gone today."

Marks, who represents Perry Hall, said that the cones had restricted parking for parents picking up their children from school.

While the cones may need to be put out again to complete the water connection, "for now, they should be removed," Marks said.

The Perry Hall Square day care center was proposed in 2020 as a 7,000-square-foot day care with an outdoor play area and other amenities, according to the county.
