Duckling Rescued From Storm Drain By Bel Air Police Officer Thanks Hero
A Bel Air police officer recently rescued a duckling found stuck in a storm drain. The baby duck showed its gratitude in an adorable way.

BEL AIR, MD — Police officers don't just save the lives of humans, but also creatures with fur and feathers.
In April, three abandoned yellow Labrador puppies were rescued by officers from a wooded area in Havre de Grace.
In January, a bald eagle found in a dazed state along a Harford County road was rescued by Harford County animal control officers.

On July 11, Bel Air Police Officer Brett Sperl was notified of a duckling that had fallen into a storm drain in the area of Route 24 and Baltimore Pike. Sperl was able to reach down and grab the baby duck, then carefully set the duckling down near its family, which was waiting nearby, the police department stated.
But surprisingly, the duckling waddled back toward the officer in what some believe was a gesture of thanks before returning to its family.
