DUI Checkpoint Planned in Harford County
Maryland State Police will conduct a sobriety checkpoint as we enter the holiday season.

BEL AIR, MD — Maryland State Police will be conducting a sobriety checkpoint in Harford County on Wednesday, according to a statement.
"The goal will be to locate impaired drivers and to promote public awareness of the dangers of impaired driving," the statement reads.
Officials do not disclose the location or hours of the checkpoint other than to say that it would occur on Wednesday.

There will also be additional Troopers on DUI saturation patrols Wednesday night and throughout the weekend.
In Maryland, the legal limit for alcohol consumption is .08 percent.

More than one million Maryland residents will be on the roads this Thanksgiving, according to AAA Mid-Atlantic. The Maryland travel forecast is a 3 percent increase and the highest travel volume in over 10 years, since 2005, the agency says.
