Edgewood Bank Robbery: Baltimore Man Charged, Officials Say
Investigators said they found a robbery suspect while doing a canvass around a bank in Harford County.

EDGEWOOD, MD — A Baltimore man was denied bail Thursday in connection with a bank robbery in Edgewood, officials said. The robbery occurred Wednesday night.
At 5:09 p.m., officials said a man approached employees at Truist Bank, pointed a handgun and demanded money before leaving with cash.
Nobody was injured in the robbery at the bank in the 100 block of Gateway Road, according to the Harford County Sheriff's Office.

Officers conducted a canvass of the area with help from a K-9 unit, state troopers from the Bel Air Barrack and an unmanned aircraft system.
Deputies and a community member found a suspicious vehicle in the 900 block of Swallow Crest Court, where the sheriff's office said it established a perimeter, including road closures. Where the vehicle was found was about 0.6 mile from the bank.

The windows of the vehicle that was deemed suspicious were tinted to the point that authorities could not see inside.
As a result, the Harford County Sheriff's Office Special Response Team was called to help. After multiple attempts to reach someone in the vehicle, officials said a man came out.
He was identified as Mosiah Fit, 32, of the 3500 block of Ellamont Road, and has been charged with seven crimes: three counts of first-degree assault; using a handgun in a felony crime; theft from $1,500 to $25,000; armed robbery; and having a handgun in his vehicle, court records show.
A warrant that was granted and executed on his vehicle linked Fit to the bank robbery, according to the Harford County Sheriff's Office.
Businesses and neighbors in the area are asked to share additional evidence or come forward if they were witnesses.
