Edgewood Man Charged In Pennsylvania Stabbings: Police

A man from Harford County was charged in connection with what the coroner called a "mass casualty incident" in Pennsylvania.

YORK COUNTY, PA — A Harford County man has been charged in connection with a quadruple stabbing in Pennsylvania that left two dead, including a 5-year-old, police said.

Keith Kretzer, 31, of Edgewood, is accused of killing two people and injuring two others in a home in York County, Pa.

Rylee Reynolds, 5, and Christine Fousek, 34, both of Stewartstown, Pa., were killed Monday night at a home on Firebox Court in Hopewell Township, police said.

Kretzer told police he had been making dinner when "something took control of him," he grabbed a knife and stabbed the two in the room with him, according to an affidavit obtained by WBFF.

He reportedly proceeded upstairs and stabbed two others there; police said Jacqueline Fousek, 63, and Joseph Fousek, 28, both of Stewartstown, Pa., were hospitalized with serious injuries as a result.

During their encounter, Joseph Fousek wrestled the knife away from Kretzer and called police, WBFF reported. Amid the struggle, Kretzer told police he "snapped out of it" and ran from the house to a field nearby, according to court documents obtained by WBFF.

Police said they found Kretzer outside the home and took him into custody, according to WHTM, an ABC affiliate out of Pennsylvania, which reported authorities also found suspected marijuana, psychedelic mushrooms and marijuana paraphernalia inside the residence.

Kretzer is charged with two counts of criminal homicide and two counts of attempted criminal homicide, police said.

Court records show Kretzer, who has lived in Edgewood and Belcamp in recent years, had protective orders filed against him in separate domestic violence cases in 2012, 2014 and 2017 in Maryland.

The Fousek family had invited him to live with them in Stewartstown, Pa., according to WMAR, which reported Christine Fousek was Kretzer's girlfriend.

York County Coroner Pamela Gay called the stabbing a "mass casualty incident" in a statement Tuesday and said autopsies were being scheduled to determine the cause and manner of death.
