Fire At Bel Air KFC Draws Crews To Baltimore Pike: Officials

Two fires broke out at businesses in Bel Air in recent days, officials said.

BEL AIR, MD — A kitchen fire broke out at the KFC in Bel Air Sunday evening, officials said. It was one of two commercial fires the Bel Air Volunteer Fire Company handled in the past three days.

Crews were called at 5:30 p.m. on Sunday to the 100 block of Baltimore Pike for a kitchen fire at KCF, according to the Bel Air Volunteer Fire Company, which responded with others from the area.

Within five minutes, firefighters contained the fire; and within half an hour, authorities said they had cleared the scene. Nobody was injured, officials reported.

Another fire was reported on Friday at a shopping center in Bel Air.

At the Tollgate Marketplace, a reported building fire drew crews to the 600 block of Belair Road.

They found a "slight odor of electrical burning," according to Bel Air fire officials, who said nobody was injured at the scene.
