MARYLAND — Great places to eat and drink made news this week. Dangerously Delicious Pies in Baltimore was among eight businesses that recently was recognized for having the best apple pie in America. Multiple restaurants were recognized by Wine Spectator for having a fabulous wine menu. And, pop into one of the newest Italian sandwich shops in the area, Capo Deli, which opened in Annapolis.
Plus, a Harford man about to fulfill his dream of opening a distillery has died. And a Harris Teeter store is closing in late July.

The North Bethesda store will shut down on or before July 20, 2025. The North Bethesda store has operated as a Harris Teeter since September 2008.
Capo Deli is now serving up hot and cold hoagies, ranging from cheesesteaks and grilled chicken breasts to chicken alla vodka and classic Cubans.
A Harford County husband and father of four died on June 19, just weeks before he planned to open his dream distillery.
