Harford County Marks First Graduate from Revamped Corrections Training

Harford County Detention Center just marked its first civilian to graduate Maryland's revamped state corrections training.

Jennifer Irani graduated with honors from the Maryland Police and Correctional Training on May 8, according to a Harford County Sheriff's Office release.

Irani, a classifications counselor at the detention center in Sykesville, was the first Harford County civilian to graduate since the curriculum was revamped last July. In all, 29 people completed the 10-week course, required for every correctional officer, according to the release.
