Forest Hill Resident Receives National Recognition

A ​Waste Management driver received the Driver of the Year Award.

From Waste Management: Waste Management’s hauling site in Baltimore is excited to announce that one of their drivers will be honored this May as the “National Waste and Recycling Association’s Large Industrial Driver of the Year.”

This award honors drivers who operate their waste collection vehicles in a safe and responsible manner, who maintain outstanding performance records, and whose contributions have enhanced the overall image of the waste and recycling industry.

Mark Rutkowski has been with Waste Management for 21 years, and is a resident of Forest Hill, MD. He works out of the Baltimore Hauling district located in Curtis Bay.

For more than 29 years, Mark has been working in the solid waste industry, and has gone accident free for his entire career. In addition to his excellent safety record, Mark was selected to represent the Baltimore Hauling district on the Market Area’s driver council.

“I don’t know what our team would do without Mark,” said Paul Marker, senior district manager at Baltimore Hauling. “He brings excellent leadership to the district, and helps to maintain the superior customer service our company expects of our employees, all while demonstrating his commitment to safety and efficiency.”

National Waste and Recycling Association is the trade association that represents the United States’ private sector waste and recycling services industry. Mark will be honored at the annual WasteExpo, scheduled for this May in New Orleans.
