Harford County Firefighter Who Died On Duty To Be Remembered
Harford County firefighter Wayne Fisher died suddenly Sunday while working. Funeral services are planned for next week.
HARFORD COUNTY, MD — Funeral services have been announced for a Harford County firefighter and EMT who died while working his shift over the weekend.
According to the Harford County Volunteer Fire & EMS Foundation, Wayne Fisher suddenly passed away Sunday while at work. He'd been an employee of the foundation since 2013, assigned to Darlington, C Shift.
The circumstances leading up to Wayne's death were not immediately known.

"We extend our thoughts and prayers to the Fisher family and to our fire & EMS family during this difficult time," the foundation posted to Facebook.

"Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of EMT Wayne Fisher," the Bel Air Police Department said following news of his death. "Wayne was a long-time employee of the Bel Air Volunteer Fire Company and was well-known and well-liked by our officers."
Viewing services will take place Wednesday from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Mountain Christian Church-Cook's Auditorium at 1824 Mountain Rd. in Joppa.
Funeral services will take place the next day at 11 a.m. at the same location.
Fisher will be laid to rest with full honors, the foundation said.
