Here’s Why Aidan Was Shouted Out As A Bel Air Star Student
We all know students who excel in academic, fine arts or volunteer service. Here's one local resident who is having an impact in Bel Air.
BEL AIR, MD — Star Students are found in classrooms, on concert and theater stages and at debate lecterns, and out in the community doing good things to make life better for all of us.
Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize Star Students, and we’re working to tell the stories of these outstanding kids to their neighbors.
This submission comes from a coach who wrote the nomination of Aidan from Bel Air.

How do you know the star local student?
I am his coach.
Why do you believe the star local student should be recognized?
Aidan is a shining example of what a well-rounded, hard-working and caring student is. Aidan is an honor roll student who is a member of the National Junior Honor Society. He is also a year-round swimmer with the YMCA who is a Maryland Swimming state championship qualifier in USA Swimming as well as a Y District champion qualifier. He is a trumpet player in the BAMS Concert and Jazz Bands. Aidan has earned his Star Rank in Boy Scouts (Troop 810 in Abingdon) and is closing in on his Life Rank.
Aidan volunteers in many areas including as a Junior Coach with the Fountain Green Swim Team, for many service projects with the Scouts and working in the birthing center at the Maryland State Fair.
Amidst all of this, Aidan is a supportive and caring teammate and classmate. He is kind to others and tries to lift people up around him rather than trying to climb over them. His leadership is natural and has developed from wanting to see others succeed.
Aidan is a star in Harford County!
What's one thing you want everyone to know about the star local student?
Being caring, kind and supportive traits that are natural to Aidan. He wants others to be successful as much as he works to be successful himself.
